I don’t know what it is about me, sports, and blogging. I enjoy it at times, it’s a job at times, and at others, it can be flat out frustrating. I try to quit and go about with my normal blog, but no matter what I do, I keep finding myself wanting to start it up again. I know, I am all over the place and as a reader, it is probably annoying to try to follow along, so I won’t ask that you do so. Instead, I just ask you to read the posts whenever they are published (tweeted out, etc.). I will bring you USF news and try to provide the best insights on what is going on with all of our athletic programs.

So no big parade or celebration with the return the blog, just a quick note that I am back at least in some form or fashion. I can’t help myself and want to add more to the USF coverage than what we have right now.

Look for more blogs this week as I get back into the swing of things. USF baseball previews, softball previews, and draft coverage (Marlon Mack and company), will all be on the way.

Andrew Perez closed out the sweep of Toledo in Sunday’s game.

The Bulls, 10-1, won 6 to 3 over Toledo, completing the 3-game sweep and extending the winning streak to 9 games for the Bulls. The pitching dominated and the offense, despite leaving 13 runners on base, got enough done in this game.  (more…)

The Bulls, 7-22 (1-17), fell 72 to 60 to Temple to close out the regular season. It’s been a tough, long year and they have at least one more game to go before it is all over.  (more…)

Game on. The Bulls, 23-7, are in the AAC semifinals as they take on Temple (game begins at 7:30 PM on ESPN U). Temple is 24-6 on the year and split the regular season with USF, falling 55 to 51 but winning 77 to 71 in the rematch. (more…)

The Bulls, 23-7, won 62 to 55 over SMU in the quarterfinals of the AAC tournament. USF was down in the second half, but rallied late to take down the Mustangs to advance to the semifinals tomorrow night.  (more…)
