Ah, memories. Back in 2009, after Matt Grothe went down due to a season ending knee injury the game before, a young freshman named BJ Daniels returned home to Tallahassee to make his first career start against FSU and wow, it was impressive. From his ability to elude the FSU defenders, to the 73-yard strike to Sterling Griffin to silence crowd, to the insane defensive effort that day by the Bulls to shut down the Seminoles, it was one of the best games in program history. No one gave the young kid out of Lincoln High School or the team from the 813 a chance, but they proved everyone wrong that afternoon.

It is time to break down the numbers for the first game of the season between USF and Elon. Now it must be stated these numbers are from last year, so it’s hard to compare entering a new year with new players on each side, new schemes, etc. but it should give us an idea of what to expect.
