The Bulls, 28-15 (10-7), fell 8 to 2 to Memphis in the middle game of the three game series. The offense struggled and the Tigers jumped on the USF pitching staff in this game. (more…)

Marquez Valdes-Scantling is the latest Bull drafted in the 2018 NFL draft. MVS was taken at pick number 174 in the 5th round by the Green Bay Packers. He joins Deadrin Senat as the two Bulls taken so far in the draft. Here is a quick break down on MVS I threw together.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling – 6’5″ 205 lbs. – Wide receiver – St. Petersburg, FL – MVS (4.37 in the 40-yard dash) finished last year with 53 receptions for 879 yards and 6 touchdowns (16.5 yards per catch). MVS spent two years at USF after starting his career at NC State. MVS is a big receiver with above average speed that allows him to either get past a defender or out-body them to get the ball at its highest point. He has solid hands and can improve on his route running at the next level. MVS is a steal in my eyes for the Packers with his late addition. I truly thought he would go higher just because of all the measurables, but the Packers are certainly happy to add him to the roster.

The first Bull has been drafted by the Atlanta Falcons. The big man Deadrin Senat has been selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the third round of the NFL draft, 90th overall. Quick and really quick break down on Seant:

Deadrin Senat – 6′ 314 lbs. – Defensive tackle – Immokalee, FL – Senat is a big body on the defensive line that can rush the passer but is better defending the run (and eating up space). Last year he had 66 tackles with 10 TFL (6 sacks) and finished his career with 179 tackles with 23.5 TFL in 49 career games. He is a big time talent that will be a great match for the Falcons. He is just a monster that gets it done in the trenches and man, I am so happy for the big man.

The Bulls, 28-14 (10-6), won 4 to 2 over Memphis to begin their weekend series. USF busted out the long ball and Shane McClanahan did the rest on the mound.  (more…)

The Bulls, 33-18 (11-5), beat Central Florida 4 to 1 in the first of three big games this weekend. It took one big hit and a dominating pitching effort for the Bulls to secure this victory. (more…)

The next player I think that is ready to break out is junior quarterback Brett Kean. While the quarterback battle is still undecided, I’m guessing that Kean will be the one that wins the job this fall so that is why he could be a break out player this year. (more…)
