The Bulls, 32-21 (9-6), won 3 to 0 over Houston in a much needed victory in the final regular season series of the year.

In the 4th, the Bulls did all of their damage and were able to make it stand. Sam Worrell started the scoring with a fielder’s choice, allowing Bethaney Keen to score to make it 1 to 0. After her, Lindsey Devitt hit a 2-run home run to put USF ahead for good at 3 to 0. There was not a lot going for either group in this game, but the good guys did the damage in this game.

Astin Donovan went 2 for 4. Keen was 1 for 3 with a run scored while Devitt was 1 for 3 with the 2-run home run.

Hannah Parker (11-5) went 4 innings, allowing 5 hits, 1 walk, and struck out one batter. Cheyenne Eggens closed it out, going 3 innings, allowing just 3 hits, 1 walk and struck out one to close out the game for the good guys.

USF will take on Houston on Saturday at 3 PM in the second game of the series. This was a great, solid start for the Bulls as they try to make a late push to move up the standings in the AAC standings to get prepared for the AAC tournament.
