The Bulls, 31-21 (8-6) swept their double header over FGCU in the final two home games of the regular season. The offense got it done in both games as the pitching shined in the circle for Coach Ken Eriksen.

In the first game of the double header against FGCU, the Bulls won 1 to 0, moving their record to 30-21 (8-6). The lone run came in the 5th on an RBI single from Astin Donovan who went 1 for 3 in the game with the deciding RBI and stole a base in the game. AnaMarie Bruni, who scored the run, was 1 for 2 in the game.

Hannah Parker (10-6) went 6 innings in the victory, allowing 4 hits, 1 walk and struck out 3 batters. Cheyenne Eggens (S 4) went the last inning to close it out, allowing 1 hit and walked one batter.

In the second game of the double header, the offense broke it wide open with a 9 to 2 win. The Bulls went off for 6 runs in the 5th to run away with the game and then posted another 3 runs in the 6th to just rub it in. Kassandra Moeller went 1 for 3 with a run scored and drove in 2 runs. Wyckoff went 2 for 4 with a run scored. Astin Donovan went 3 for 3 and scored 2 runs.

Kalen McGill (11-6) went 5 innings, allowing 5 hits, 2 runs, walking 1 and struck out 2 batters. Susan Wysocki went 1.1 innings in solid relief and Hannah Parker went two thirds to help relieve McGill in another solid outing. As I said, the pitching was solid in both games and helped lead the way to the sweep of the DH.

The Bulls will hit the road next weekend as they face Houston for a 3-game series to end the regular season on May 5th. The first game of that last series begins at 6:30 PM.
