The Bulls, 32-8 (7-5), are back home as they take on Stetson for the third time this year (game begins at 6:30 PM). The Hatters are 18-24 entering this game (face FSU before this game on Tuesday night).

(quick note, the Stetson stats do not include the stats from their game against FSU on Tuesday night).

The Hatters enter this game batting .266 as a team while the USF pitching staff has a 2.64 ERA while holding opponents to a .210 average against them. On the flip side, the Stetson staff has an ERA of 4.01 and allowing opponents to hit .251 against them. USF is batting .306 as a team. USF won the first two meeting, beating them 9 to 4 and then 8 to 6, so we should expect some runs in this game.

Here are some of the key Hatter bats to watch for in this game:

Jack Gonzalez – Sophomore – OF/1B – Gonzalez is batting .323 with 6 doubles, 5 home runs, has 24 RBIs and has scored 17 runs. He is 2 for 8 with an RBI and a run scored in the first two games.

Jacob Koos – Sophomore – OF – Koos is batting .295 on the year with 5 doubles, 17 RBis, has scored 37 runs, and is 18 for 26 in steal attempts. He is 5 for 9 with 5 runs scored in the first two meetings.

Mike Spooner – Sophomore – 1B – Spooner is batting .297 on the year with 7 doubles, 4 home runs, with 35 RBIs and has scored 32 runs on the year. He is 2 for 8 with 3 RBIs in the first two games.

Key names to watch for USF: DJ Roberts might get the start for the Bulls in this mid-week game who is 2-0 in 6 starts. He has thrown 33 innings this year with 27 strike outs. Luke Borders, after making AAC honor roll this week, is batting .358 on the year with 6 home runs with 39 RBIs.
