Per 247 Sports – Per some reports (Knight and RunningtheBulls.com as well), it appears two Duke defensive linemen are joining the USF football program. It looks like they may not be eligible this year, but should be ready for 2018 if the report is correct.

Per 247 Sports, the Bulls are adding two more transfers in junior defensive end Marquies Price and junior defensive tackle Brandon Boyce, both from Duke University. If the reports are correct, the two of them (unless they get a waiver), will have to sit this year and would be eligible next year. The two players were dismissed from the Duke program at the end of the season due to living up to the Duke program standards, whatever that truly means.

Price is a 6’6″ 245 lb. edge rusher from Fort Valley, Georgia, and is a former 3-star recruit. Last year, he had 23 tackles in 11 games, recording 3.5 TFL (2 sacks) with 6 quarterback hits. Boyce is a 6′ 255 lb. tackle out of Ft. Lauderdale (former 3-star recruit) who played in 8 games last year with 7 tackles with 1 sack. Both will be solid additions to the program, adding experience and dept to the front line.

While it appears this will not help the 2017 Bulls, this is a huge addition to the program because it adds depth for the future that the program can always need. Additions like this with running back Jordan Cronkite and others, it will only help restock the program with players and its with players that have collegiate experience.
