Game on. The Bulls, 23-7, are in the AAC semifinals as they take on Temple (game begins at 7:30 PM on ESPN U). Temple is 24-6 on the year and split the regular season with USF, falling 55 to 51 but winning 77 to 71 in the rematch.

USF is averaging 72.4 PPG while allowing 60.7 PPG entering this tournament. Temple is averaging 70.4 PPG while allowing 60.3 PPG. Here are quick stats on the Temple players to watch once again in this game:

Feyonda Fitzgerald – 5’7″ – Senior – Guard – Fitzgerald is averaging 16.9 PPG (43 for 127 from 3-point range), 3.6 RPG, has 213 assists (71 turnovers), with 33 steals entering this tournament. She had a combined 37 points in the first two regular season games.

Alliya Butts – 5’4″ – Junior – Guard – Butts is averaging 14.9 PPG (78 for 230 from 3-point range), 2.6 RPG with 64 steals on they year. She had a combined 25 points and 6 assists in the first two regular season games.

Donnaizha Fountain – 6′ – Junior – Guard – Fountain is averaging 14.1 PPG (49 for 125 from 3-point range), 7.5 RPG, with 49 steals and 14 blocks on the regular season. She had a combined 29 points and 10 rebounds in the first two games.

Alright, we know all about Temple. They are good, can play solid defense, and have a rotation of guards that are not afraid to fire from long range. USF split the regular season series but both games were tough. I would expect another tough game, an especially low scoring one because both sides know what to expect from the other. The winner of this game gets the winner of Uconn vs. Central….scratch that, the winner gets to face Uconn on Monday night, so let’s see what happens in this game.
