The Bulls, 9-1, won 12 to 3 over Toledo, taking the second straight game of the series. The offense went off in the 5th inning to take this game after Toledo had taken the early lead. This team is really fun to watch.
In the first inning, the Bulls were down 2 to 0, but came back. In the 2nd, Cameron Montgomery hit an RBI single to make it 2 to 1. In the third, Toledo added another run to go ahead 3 to 1. In the bottom of the inning, David Villar hit an RBI single to make it 3 to 2. Later Joe Genord hit an RBI triple and then scored on an error to put USF ahead to 4 to 3.
In the 5th, USF unloaded on the Rockets. Garrett Zech started it with an RBI single followed by Joe Genord scoring on a passed ball to make it 6 to 3. Kevin Merrell then reached on an error, scoring another run, followed by an RBI single from Duke Stunkel and then a 2-run single from Luke Borders to make it 10 to 3. Genord came up again in that inning, hitting a 2-run double, to put the Bulls ahead 12 to 3 in a huge inning.
Duke Stunkel was 3 for 4 with a double, drove in a run and scored another. Luke Borders went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs and scored 4 runs in the game. Joe Genord went 2 for 2 with 3 RBIs, drew 2 walks and scored 2 runs.
Shane McClanahan went 5 innings, allowing 3 hits, 3 runs, walking 2 batters and struck out 5 batters. Collin Sullivan went 2 innings, allowing 2 hits and struck out 3 batters. Carson Ragsdale went the last 2 innings, allowing 1 hit and struck out 3 batters.
The Bulls and Rockets will wrap up the series on Sunday afternoon (game begins at 1 PM).
