The Bulls are set to host EMU tomorrow evening, but there could be rain in the forecast.

The Bulls, 6-3, are set to host Eastern Michigan on Wednesday night (game begins at 6 PM). EMU is 3-3 entering the game and have lost two games in a row.

Note, Tampa is expecting a lot of rain on Wednesday, so the status of this game will have to be monitored.

The Bulls are off to a strong start after going 3-1 last weekend and scored 34 total runs in the 4 games. Lauren Evans, who was named AAC player of the week, batted .500 and led the way while playing solid defense both at short stop and at third base. EMU will be a solid test to see if they can keep the momentum going.

EMU is batting .286 as a team entering this game. Senior outfielder Michelle Kriegshauser is batting .381 with 3 doubles, 3 RBIs, has scored 5 runs and is 2 for 2 in steal attempts. She is a key batter Kalen McGill and staff will have to shut down in this game.

Their staff has an ERA of 4.95 and have held batters to a .289 average against them. Junior RHP Trisha Trujillo is 2-1 in 4 games (4.50 ERA) and has allowed 13 hits in 10 innings, allowing 3 walks, 7 runs, and has struck out 10 batters. The Bulls got going over Oklahoma State, rolling out 12 runs (no Juli Weber for the entire weekend), showing the young offense is cranking up at the right time.

Let’s hope the Bulls can take care of business before heading to the other side of the state for the weekend.
