Can the Bulls bounce back after their last outing?

The Bulls, 20-5 (9-3), really need to bounce back after a day game in their last outing, but it won’t be easy. They are facing Temple, 20-5 (10-2), that is looking for some revenge after USF beat them 55 to 51 back on January 29th (game begins at 1 PM on Sunday).

USF is averaging 71.7 PPG per game while allowing 58.9 PPG. The Owls are allowing 70.7 PPG while allowing just 58.6 PPG. Prepare for another low scoring, super close battle in this one.

Temple is led by senior guard Feyonda Fitzgerald (5’7″) who is averaging 16.7 PPG (32 for 101 from 3-point range), 3.7 RPG, leads her team with 183 assists (62 turnovers), and has 31 steals on the year. She had 14 points and 8 assists in the first meeting between the clubs. Junior Alliya Butts (5’4″) is averaging 14.7 PPG (63 for 198 from 3-point range), 2.8 RPG and has 51 steals (leads the team). She had 12 points and 5 steals in the first game and is someone to watch because the Bulls turned the ball over 20 times in the first game and have to do a better job of protecting the rock. Rounding out their top scoring threats is junior guard Donaizha Fountain (6′) who is averaging 14.3 PPG (39 for 107 from 3-point range), 7.9 RPG, and has 45 steals and 12 blocks on the year. She had 7 points and 5 rebounds in the first game.

Alright, USF got smacked in their last game and really need to turn it around in this one. USF won the first game because they held Temple to just 25% shooting from the floor while USF shot 40%. Kitija Laksa led the way with 16 points in the road victory and will need to step up again in this game. Another win over Temple would help out the resume even more, but a loss would not be good for the overall moral and momentum heading into the last week (or so) of the regular season.
