The Bulls, 7-18 (1-13), are on the road as they take on Tulane (game begins at 2 PM EST on Saturday). The Green Wave are 4-12 (1-12) entering this game and have lost 9 games in a row. Tulane beat USF 82 to 67 on January 11th back in the Sun Dome. Can the Bulls get revenge and get out of the AAC basement?
Alright folks, here we go. The battle of the basement is on. If the Bulls win this, they probably get out the basement and avoid a dead last finish. Fail, and well, the basement we stay. Here are the key Tulane players to watch in this game.
Cameron Reynolds – 6’7″ 216 lbs. – Redshirt junior – Guard – 16.2 PPG (57 for 153 from 3-point range), 6.7 RPG, 18 steals, and 9 blocks on the year. He had 14 points and 6 rebounds in the first game.
Melvin Frazier – 6’5″ 200 lbs. – Sophomore – Guard – 10.1 PPG (22 for 81 from 3-point range), 4.4 RPG, and 40 steals on the year. He had 7 points and 3 steals in the first meeting.
Malik Morgan – 6’4″ 205 lbs. – Redshirt senior – Guard – 9.7 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 4.1 APG, and has 27 steals on the year. He had 5 points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds in the first meeting.
Alright, the regular season is coming towards an end and as I said before, this is one of the last chances the Bulls have to get into the win column. USF got beaten down by Tulane in the first meeting but this is a chance for some kind of revenge during any ugly year. Murray Bartow has not given up, his team has not quit on him, and this is all good. We finally got a win against ECU over the past week and now they get a chance in another game. Geno Thorpe had 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals in the first meeting. He needs to lead again and help the Bulls get back in the win column. I pray they can get it done.
