Kirk Livingstone redshirted last year, but has made an impact on the coaches and earned his way to the top of the depth chart coming out of the spring.
#94 Kirk Livingstone – 6’4″ 258 lbs. – Redshirt freshman – Defensive end – Ft. Lauderdale, FL (Stranahan HS)
2015: Livingstone redshirted last year.
Recruiting history: Livingstone was rated as a 3-star recruit coming out of high school (per Rivals). In his senior season he recorded 14 sacks, building off of a 42 tackle and 9 sack junior season. He had a long list of offers including Vanderbilt, Utah, Louisville, and Indiana, among others.
2016 Projection: After a solid spring (3 tackles in the spring game), Livingstone was listed as the starting defensive end coming out of the practices which was a little surprising considering he did not play last year (compared to others that had played during the 2015 season). With that said, Livingstone has a lot of talent but the spring depth chart isn’t the final depth chart for the final or the season opener. Could he be the starter? Of course, obviously he has turned heads and has earned the ranking, but here is a lot of time to go before he plays this season. It will be interesting if he can keep his spot when the season begins.
