Time to begin the Rush Through the Roster Series beginning with #99 Kevin Bronson. Bronson is a talented big man that will be contributing up front this year for the defensive line.
#99 Kevin Bronson – 6’4″ 271 lbs. – Sophomore – Defensive end – Delray Beach, FL (Village Academy HS)
2015: Bronson played in 10 games, starting 3 games at defensive tackle last year. He recorded 13 tackles with 3.5 TFL (2.5 sacks), had 1 interception, 3 PBUs, and forced a fumble as a key reserve on the front line. In 2014, he redshirted.
Recruiting history: Bronson was a 3-star recruit in the 2013 class. He was committed to Virginia Tech before he was granted a release and came to USF. In his senior season, he recorded 58 tackles with 25 TFL (9 sacks) in his final prep season, making him a coveted recruit.
2016 Projection: On the spring depth chart roster, Bronson is listed as a starter at defensive tackle and is poised to break out this season down in the trenches. He is a big body that has the ability to get up the field and after the quarterback. If he becomes the starter this year (as projected on the spring depth chart), he will help anchor the defensive front that will be relying on several new faces this season.
