The Bulls, 42-12 (14-2), fell 9 to 0 in the first game of the 3-game series. Central Florida scored all their runs in the 7th inning to take this one late.

The Bulls just could not get anything going in this game on offense. They had a few runners on early, but could not get them in and managed just 4 hits total for the game. Kristen Wyckoff was 2 for 3. Lauren Evans and Erica Nunn were both 1 for 3 each, totaling up all the offense USF could muster in the game. Again, Central Florida scored all 9 runs in the 7th after Erica Nunn got pulled from the game and Susan Wysocki could not get out of trouble. It was just one of those games.

Erica Nunn (25-8) went 6 innings, allowing 4 hits, 3 runs, 2 walks, and struck out 5 batters. She wasn’t pitching bad, but after she got pulled things got bad in that 7th. Susan Wysocki recorded just one out while allowing 2 hits, 6 runs, and walking 3 batters (just not her day). Cheyenne Eggens went two thirds, allowing a single hit and struck out 2 batters.

The two sides will battle again tomorrow at 4 PM as the Bulls will be looking to regroup quickly from this game and put this one far behind them before the regular season comes to an end this weekend.
