The Bulls, 39-11 (11-1), are on the road in a huge late season AAC battle against Tulsa (they play Friday at 6 PM, Saturday at 3 PM, and Sunday at 1 PM). The Golden Hurricanes are 28-11 (5-4) on the season and will be a huge battle for the Bulls.

USF enters this game batting .339 as a team (note that these stats do not include the Gators game from Wednesday night) and have a staff ERA of 2.43 (average of .227 against them). The Golden Hurricanes are batting .298 as a team and have a staff ERA of 2.06 (.232 average against them). This is going to be a battle in every single game against two talented teams.

The Golden Hurricanes are led by junior infielder Maggie Withee who is batting .382 with 7 doubles, 9 RBIs, and has scored 38 runs on the season. Sophomore infielder Shelby Estocado is batting .336 on the year with 6 doubles, 9 home runs (leads the team), with 31 RBIs and has scored 36 runs on the season. Junior outfielder/catcher Maddie Withee is batting .289 on the year with 6 doubles, 5 home runs, 39 RBIs and has scored 22 runs on the season. They are a very balanced season that will challenge Erica Nunn and the staff. Seriously they have power and speed that could be a huge headache for the Bulls for the entire weekend. They must be ready for this series.

The Tulsa staff is led by senior Caitlin Sill who is 15-4 (1.36 ERA) and has thrown 118.2 innings, allowing 103 hits, 36 runs, 46 walks, and has struck out 71 batters. Sophomore Emily Watson is 10-7 on the season (2.23 ERA) and has thrown 94.1 innings, allowing 73 hits, 39 runs, 34 walks, and has struck out 131 batters on the season. Sill and Watson are dominating pitchers and will challenge the USF offense that has used both speed and power throughout their batting order. This will be a tough series.

Let’s get this done.
