The Bulls, 33-10 (6-1), won 9 to 1 over Uconn today (5 innings) as they got back to league play. An 8 run 1st inning led the Bulls to their third straight victory (new winning streak is beginning again).

In the first, the Bulls were down 1 to 0 early, but that would not be an issue for the Bulls as they scored 8 runs in the bottom of the first. USF sent 12 batters to the plate in that frame and got it done. USF would tack on another run in the 2nd inning, but after that, it would be all Erica Nunn in the circle taking care of business.

Kristen Wyckoff was 1 for 2 in the game with an RBI and scored 2 runs. Juli Weber was 1 for 3 and drove in a run. Erica Nunn, while dealing on the circle, went 2 for 2 at the plate with an RBI and scored a run. Sam Worrell had a big game as well, going 2 for 2 and drove in 3 runs. Astin Donovan was 1 for 2 with an RBI and scored a run, batting in the bottom of the order. The ladies got it done and thanks to that big inning, it was done early in this game.

Erica Nunn (18-6) went 5 innings, allowing 5 hits, 1 run, 1 walk, and struck out 6 batters. Nunn was dealing once again in this game and helped her own cause at the plate. When she is going, USF usually wins.

The two sides will battle tomorrow at 4 PM again as the Bulls try to take the series and extend the winning streak to 4 games. I hope they can get it done again and continue to move up the standings in the AAC.
