The Bulls, 31-9 (5-0),  won 6 to 3 over Houston tonight to extend their winning streak to 23 in a row. What can I say, this team just gets it done and continues to do it in league play. This is fun.

In the first, Houston struck first with a 2-run home run off of Eggens to go up 2 to 0. In the bottom of the frame, USF answered right back starting with an RBI single from Lee Ann Spivey to make it 2 to 1. Erica Nunn then doubled in two runs and scored on a wild pitch to put USF ahead 4 to 2. In the 2nd, Houston got one back to make it 4 to 3. In the 4th, Juli Weber hit an RBI single to make it 5 to 3. In the 5th, USF loaded the bases and got another run after Morgan Litchfield was hit by a pitch, pushing the late lead to 6 to 3. It would be all the Bulls needed to save the game and get another win the column.

Kristen Wyckoff was 1 for 2 with 2 runs scored and stole a base. Juli Weber was 1 for 4 with an RBI. Lee Ann Spivey was 1 for 4 with an RBI and scored a run. Lauren Evans was 2 for 3 overall in the game. Come on, they just continue to produce and get it done.

Cheyenne Eggens went 1 inning, allowing 3 hits, 3 runs, 1 walk and struck out 2 batters to start the game. Susan Wysocki (9-3) went 3.1 innings and allowed just 2 hits in relief of Eggens. Erica Nunn (S 5) went the final 2.2 innings, allowing 2 hits, 1 walk and struck out 2 batters.

The two sides will play the final game on Sunday at 1 PM as the Bulls try to keep their streak going. USF is rolling, it’s fun, so let’s hope it continues going tomorrow afternoon.
