It is time to break down the special teams depth chart of WKU. In what could be a high scoring game, every point will be critical and field position could determine the game. 

Punter: 

Joseph Occhipinti – 6’3″ 190 lbs. – Junior – Occhipinti has punted 15 times on the season, averaging 37.9 yards per punt (long of 49 yards) with 3 landing inside the opponent’s 20-yard line.

Jake Collins – 6′ 190 lbs. – Redshirt freshman – Collins has punted 31 times, averaging 41.6 yards per punt (long of 59 yards) with 12 landing inside the opponents’s 20-yard line (5 kicks have gone over 50 yards as he works as their primary punter).

Place kicker: 

Garrett Schwettman – 5’11” 175 lbs. – Senior – Schwettman is 14 for 15 on field goal attempts with a long of 46 yards. He is also 73 for 74 in extra point attempts.

Ryan Nuss – 5’10” 190 lbs. – Redshirt freshman – Nuss has kicked off 64 times, averaging 57 yards per kick with 8 of them going for touchbacks.

Punt return: 

Kylen Towner – 5’8″ 175 lbs. – Redshirt sophomore – Towner has 14 kick returns for 99 yards (7.1 yards per return).

Taywan Taylor – 6’1″ – 195 lbs. – Junior

Kick return: 

Kylen Towner – Towner has 27 returns for 663 yards with 1 touchdown.
