The Bulls, 3-2, are back home as they host Harvard, 4-2 (game begins at 7 PM). The Bulls suffered a tough loss on the road on Sunday afternoon and are looking to get back in the win column, but it won’t come easy.
USF enters the game averaging 73.4 PPG while allowing 65.4 PPG. They also average 44.6 RPG while allowing 34.8 RPG. Harvard enters the game averaging 64.7 PPG and averaging 38.5 RPG. The Bulls will have to be sharp in this game if they want to defend their home turf.
Harvard is led by senior forward AnneMarie Healy (6’1″) who is averaging 14.7 PPG, 5.3 RPG and .7 steals per game. She will be a key match-up in the paint against Alisia Jenkins. Senior guard Shilpa Tummala (5’11”) is averaging 14.4 PPG, 7 RPG, 2 APG, and 2.4 steals per game. She is a taller guard that will be matched up with Courtney Williams (I would imagine) who leads USF with 28 PPG and 8.8 RPG. This will be a fun battle to watch on the floor for both sides. Rounding out their top scorers is senior guard Kit Metoyer (5’10”) who is averaging 9.8 PPG, 4.3 RPG, and 2.7 APG. She is another match-up issue for the USF backcourt because of her ability to score and run the offense.
The Bulls have to get back to business when they take the floor for this game. The Bulls have two losses on the year and were ranked 24th and are about to fall out of the rankings if they don’t take care of business in this game. This is a must win in the early season and they should be able to take care of business in this game.
