The Bulls, 3-1, won 87 to 77 over Butler to get back in the win column. It was a close battle in the first half, but the hot shooting of the Bulls led them to victory late in the game.

USF shot 44% for the game while Butler shot 42% for the game. USF had 44 rebounds to their 36 and committed just 5 turnovers to 14 by Butler. Butler was sloppy late and it allowed the Bulls to take control of the game and never look back.

Kitija Laksa had 12 points and 4 rebounds, sparking the offense late. Maria Jespersen had 6 points and 2 rebounds. Courtney Williams had 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists in the game. Alisia Jenkins had 14 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 2 steals. Laia Flores had 10 points, 2 assists, and 2 rebounds. Shalethia Stringfield had 8 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 5 steals off the bench in a big victory for the Bulls.

USF will return to action as they take on St. John’s on Sunday (game begins at 2 PM) as they look to get another victory on the road. This was a great win after a tough loss at Baylor so it was great to see them get back in the win column. Just let Courtney Williams and Alisia Jenkins take over moving forward.
