USF, 9-18 (6-9), is on the road still as they head to Philadelphia to take on Temple (game begins at 1 PM). The Owls are 19-8 (10-5) and 11-3 at home this year. Temple beat USF  in 3 sets back in Tampa on September 25th.

Temple is led by sophomore outside hitter Irem Asci (5’11”) who has 334 kills (3.59 kills per set), 22 service aces (28 errors), and has 228 digs (2.45 digs per set) on the year. She totaled 10 kills and 6 digs in the first match. Junior outside hitter Tyler Davis (6’1) has 272 kills on the year (2.89 kills per set, .247 hitting percentage), 47 digs, and has 32 total blocks. She had 6 kills in the first game. Senior defensive specialist/libero Alyssa Drachslin (5’6″) has 27 kills, 75 assists, 13 service aces (19 errors) and has a team high 471 digs (4.86 digs per set) on the year. She had 11 digs and 3 assists in the first meeting. Senior setter Sandra Sydlik has 51 kills on the year with 1031 assists (11.09 assists per set), 27 service aces (15 errors), 196 digs and 41 blocks. She had 35 assists, 2 service aces, and 9 digs in match back in Tampa.

The Bulls were down early and often against Temple in the first meeting as the offense could not get anything going at the net. Alexus Heidelberg led the Bulls with 10 kills, but the top hitters for the team like Dakota Hampton had just a single kill. The Owls dominated and USF had no answer. Let’s hope they have figured it out and can mount a better performance in this win. They are still trying to get to that elusive double-digit win total. It won’t be easy for them in this game to each that goal.
