The Bulls snapped their 5 game losing streak today by beating the Southeastern Louisiana University by a score of 78 to 63. USF improved their record to 6-6 overall on the year as they took care of business before Christmas.
The Bulls shot 54% for the game and 53% from 3-point range. They also had more rebounds with a 40 to 29 margin, cleaning up the glass and giving the offense second chance points with 25 offensive rebounds. It was one of the more complete efforts from both the front court and backcourt for the team in the past few weeks.
Chris Perry had 10 points and 8 rebounds. Ruben Guerrero had 8 points and 6 rebounds as he continues to develop his offensive game in each start. Corey Allen Jr had 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists as he continues to showcase his offensive game. Nehemias Morillo had 12 points and 3 rebounds. Anthony Collins had 12 points, 5 assists, and 2 steals. He did leave the game for a short time after hurting his ankle, but came back into the game and was fine after that. Troy Holston Jr. had 8 points and 4 rebounds in one of his better games in recent outings as well. USF took care of business and finally got back back in the win column.
USF will next host Bowling Green on Sunday at 3 PM in the final non-conference game of the year before starting AAC play with SMU.
