USF improved to 8-3 tonight with an 84 to 43 win over Northern Colorado (6-4). USF jumped out to a 51 to 12 lead at the end of the first half and never looked back in this game.
USF shot 44% for the game while holding the Bears to just 27%. USF was 16 for 19 from the free throw line, taking advantage of the free points. The Bulls held the rebounding edge at 51 to 37 even with out Katelyn Weber (illness). USF also had the edge with just 8 turnovers to 15 committed by Northern Colorado.
Alisia Jenkins had 18 points and 16 rebounds. Courtney Williams went off with 23 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals. Shalethia Stringfield had 5 points, 4 assists and 2 rebounds. Tamara Taylor continued her excellent play with a career high 24 points, 2 rebounds and 3 steals in the win.
USF will hit the road next to take on Penn State on Sunday at 2 PM.
