It’s senior day for the USF Bulls. For the last time in their careers, 19 players will be suiting up and taking the field at Raymond James for the final time in their collegiate careers. Let’s take a quick moment to recognize this senior class as they take the field one last time as a USF Bull.
#41 Jake Carlton – 6’3″ 240 lbs. – Tight end – Bradenton, FL (Lakewood Ranch HS)
Carlton has been a reserve tight end his entire career, contributing on special teams as a blocker for the Bulls.
#95 Todd Chandler – 6′ 321 lbs. – Defensive tackle – Miami, FL (Northwestern HS)
Chandler has risen over the last few years after a rough start to his career. He has 32 tackles on the year with 4.5 TFL and 2 fumble recoveries. He has been a stout defensive nose tackle for the inside of the Bulls defensive line and will be missed after he leaves. Did I mention he is one incredible cook?
#16 Reshard Cliett – 6’2″ 235 lbs. – Linebacker – Thomasville, GA (Thomas County Central HS)
Cliett has battled injuries over the past two years, but has become a solid outside linebacker for the Bulls. He has 34 tackles this year with 6.5 TFL (5 sacks) and has forced 1 fumble. He’s become one of the leaders in the front 7 and always seems to be around on the ball, making a play and helping the perimeter defense.
#7 Andre Davis – 6’1″ 205 lbs. – Wide receiver – Tampa, FL (Jefferson HS)
A player that has re-written the record books, Andre Davis has become one of the greatest receivers in program history. This year he has 30 catches for 537 yards and 7 touchdowns (missed a few games with a chest injury). Davis became the first receiver to go over 2000 yards receiving in his career and now holds many records, making him one of the best to ever suit up for USF.
#1 Chris Dunkley – 6′ 188 lbs. – Defensive back – Pahokee, FL (Pahokee HS) (University of Florida)
Dunkley moved from wide receiver to corner in his final season with USF. He has 24 tackles on the year with 1.5 TFL, 5 PBU, 1 FF, and 1 FR. He has still be the primary return man with 6 punt returns for 66 yards and 20 kick returns for a total of 469 yards. He has been injured a bit this year, but his speed and athletic ability have helped him become a solid starter this year after two years at wide receiver.
#70 Quinterrius Eatmon – 6’6″ 313 lbs. – Offensive lineman – Prichard, AL (CF Vigor HS)
Eatmon has been a solid starter on the line for years now for the Bulls. For two years he was a starter at right tackle, but this year he moved inside to the guard position and has done a solid job up front for the USF front line. He has matured over the years and like Reiter and Williams, is one of the key offensive lineman that is leaving the team after this year.
#48 Ruben Garcia – 6′ 248 lbs. – Linebacker – Plant City, FL (Durant HS)
Garcia has been a reserve linebacker this year and a contributor on special teams. He has totaled 1 tackle on the year. Garcia has battled injuries during this playing career, but has been a reliable reserve for his football career in Tampa.
#25 Clinton Jones – 5’9″ 160 lbs. – Wide receiver – Ft. Lauderdale, FL (Blache Ely HS)
Jones is a former walk-on receiver that has no played this year or much during his playing career, spending his time as a reserve.
#77 Jake Kaufman – 6’9″ 342 lbs. – Offensive lineman – Jersey City, NJ (St. Peters Preparatory School)
Kaufman has battled injuries during his playing career. He has played sparingly this year as a reserve, the first full year he is healthy. He’s battled injuries, but he has struck it out throughout his entire career.
#27 Marvin Kloss – 6′ 209 lbs. – Kicker – Naples, FL (Barron Collier HS)
Kloss has been money all year, hitting 13 out of 16 field goals and serving as the kick-off specialist. While he isn’t a Groza finalist like he was last year, Kloss has left his legacy as one of the best place kickers in program history. The man can bench press near 400 pounds as well, not bad for a kicker.
#50 Hans Louis – 6′ 229 lbs. – Linebacker – Hollywood, FL (Chaminade Madonna College Prep)
Louis became a solid reserve linebacker during his playing career for the Bulls. He tore his ACL at the end of last year and has not worked his way back to the field this year, serving as a reserve.
#80 Mike McFarland – 6’5″ 252 lbs. – Tight end – Tampa, FL (Blake HS)
McFarland has 25 receptions for 290 yards on the year, while dealing with a knee injury that has taken him off the field for periods of a time. He has proven to be a big time receiver down the field and a big body receiver the USF QBs have been able to rely on for the past two years.
#78 Austin Reiter – 6’3″ 296 lbs. – Center – Bradenton, FL (Lakewood Ranch HS)
Reiter has become the anchor of the offensive line for the past 3 years, starting every game and anchoring the middle of the offensive line. He is a veteran leader that has gotten better each year and become the face of the front five. Losing him after the year won’t be easy to replace and the trenches won’t be the same without him.
#31 Torrel Saffold – 5’11” 177 lbs. – Defensive back – Kansas City, KS (Summer Academy) (Butler CC)
Saffold has been a reserve back for two years, but has not taken the field this year.
#18 Rahmon Swain – 6′ 222 lbs. – Linebacker – Lithonia, GA (Troy Mitchell JC) (Martin Luther King HS)
Swain has been a reserve linebacker for the past two years. He has dealt with an ankle injury this year, but has 19 tackles and a forced fumble in limited playing time.
#53 Elkino Watson – 6’2″ 291 lbs. – Defensive lineman – Miami, FL (Booker T. Washington HS)
Watson has been a solid defensive tackle and now a solid starting defensive end this year. He has 31 tackles with 6.5 TFL (2 sacks) and a forced fumble this year playing well after changing positions during the spring.
#37 Rodney Watson – 5’11” 185 lbs. – Running back – Lakeland, FL (Lakeland HS)
Watson is a walk-on running back that joined the team last year. He hasn’t had a chance to step on the field in his final season with USF.
#83 Deonte Welch – 6′ 215 lbs. – Wide receiver – Williston, FL (Willston HS)
Welch has had an up and down career, working in an out of the starting lineup. This year he has re-emerged as a starter, catching 21 passes for 256 total yards, becoming the number two option after Andre Davis at receiver.
#76 Darrell Williams – 6’5″ 307 lbs. – Offensive lineman – Orlando, FL (Evans HS)
Darrell Williams is a three year starter for the Bulls at left tackle. He took over as a young player and has become a solid left tackle on the line for years, keeping USF quarterbacks upright. Williams struggled early in his playing career, but has become a strong tackle and will be missed next year after having him on the line for years.
Thank you to all the seniors for everything you have done throughout your playing careers for the green and gold.
