USF WSoccer falls to Illinois State in 1st round of the NCAA tournament

Posted: November 16, 2014 in Uncategorized

The season is over for the USF Bulls as they fall 2 to 3 to Illinois State in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The Bulls, 13-7-2 (6-3) finish the year with the third most wins in a single season in program history. The loss was rough but this team played so well over the year, we have to be proud of how they finished the year.

USF was down 2 to 0 in the first half of the game and things looked real bad for the Bulls. USF was able to rally late in the 2nd half with goals from Leticia Skeete and Diana Saenz to make it 2 to 3 but the Bulls just couldn’t get the final goal to tie it up late despite several looks. Katarina Elliott did what she could but the USF offense came up short in this game late and the year is over for USF.

A full season recap will come after this report. I just want to say thank you to the ladies and everything they did this year. I can’t wait to watch the future.
