The Bulls beat Memphis 4 to 2 to advance to the AAC tournament seminfinals in Storrs, Connecticut. USF, 10-7-1 (4-3-1), came out strong in this game and went up early on the Tigers and held on for the big victory.
USF went ahead in the first half thanks to a goal from Eduardo Maceira in the 30th minute (assist from Marcus Epps) to make it 1 to 0. At the start of the 2nd half, USF went up 2 to 0 on a goal again from Maceira (assist from Wesley Charpie and Edwin Moalosi), putting the Bulls ahead even further. USF added another just minutes after that goal on a shot from Edwin Moalosi (assist from Charpie and Lindo Mfeka) to make it 3 to 0 in the 2nd half. In the 58th minute, USF made it 4 to 0 after a goal from Marcus Epps (assist from Moalos) putting USF up for good in this game. in the 68th minute, against Dallas Jaye who replaced starter Spasoje Stefanovic, Memphis added a goal making it 4 to 1 in the Bulls’ favor. Memphis added another goal late but it was over.
Spasoje Stefanovic had 2 saves in the game. Dallas Jaye came in late in the 2nd half for him, but he did allow 2 goals while making a single save late in the game.
This is a big win for the Bulls as they continue in the AAC tournament and will now head to Uconn to take on their next foe.
