USF WSoccer beat ECU to advance to the AAC tournament championship

The Bulls beat ECU 3 to 0 to advance to the AAC tournament championship game on Sunday! USF is 13-6-1 on the season after this huge win and with it they are one step closer to getting to the NCAA tournament. This game was huge for the ladies and for the program in general.

USF struck first in the 1st half on a goal from Jackie Simpson in the 28th minute on a header, assisted from Cristina Ferral. In the 2nd half, USF added another goal on a penalty kick from Demi Stokes (4 for 4 on the year), making it 2 to 0 for the Bulls. In the 60th minute, USF added one more goal from Jessica Clark (her first of the year) making it 3 to 0 to put the game away. USF held the edge 24 to 8 in shot attempts in this game, taking control and not looking back.

Katarina Elliott had 2 saves in the game. The offense controlled this game and made things easier for her and the defense in this game.

Game on. The Bulls will face Uconn on Sunday at 11 AM at Corbett Stadium for the AAC tournament title. Pack the stadium and let’s get the win ladies!
