USF MSoccer falls 3 to 0 to Clemson

Posted: October 28, 2014 in Uncategorized

The 25th ranked Bulls fell 3 to 0 to 16th ranked Clemson on the road. The loss puts USF at 9-6-1 on the season as they return home for one more game before the start of the AAC tournament.

USF was down 1 to 0 at the half, despite being even with Clemson in total shot attempts. Clemson added two more goals in the 2nd half, one in the 50th minute and one late in the 88th minute to put the game away for good. Spasoje Stefanovic had 4 saves on the night and the Bulls actually led in shot attempts 11 to 10, but nothing came of it despite a few close calls. USF was flagged for a grand total of 5 yellow cards and a red card called on defender Nikola Paunic. It was a chippy game, but in my opinion, some of the calls called against USF and some of the cards were a bit much (just my opinion).

USF will return home to face Uconn on Saturday evening at 7:30 as they hope to end the regular season on senior night on a high note.
