The USF Bulls are at Corbett in the regular season finale. USF stands at 10-6-1 (5-3) and in third place in the AAC. They will be hosting ECU who enters at 10-6-1 (4-4) and in 4th place in the conference. This is a huge game to end the regular season not only for conference tournament positioning but also for the 4 seniors on the USF squad (game begins at 1 PM).
ECU is led by sophomore forward Lana Spitler who has 7 goals on the season (28 shot attempts) and has 1 assist. Junior forward Kendall Frey has 5 goals on the season (26 shots) and has 2 assists. Senior midfielder Lexi Herring has 2 goals and an assist on the year. Sophomore defender/forward Autumn Berry has a goal and 2 assists to round out their offensive attack. Freshman Katarina Elliott has played well over the past two weeks, locking it down on defense. She will have to do it again in this regular season finale.
In net is junior Saundra Baron who has allowed 5 goals on the season while making 27 saves. Joining her and splitting playing time is senior Erika Lenns who has allowed 9 goals while making 40 saves on the season. Both have played well but have also faced a lot of shots over the season. I would expect the Bulls to take the attack right at them in this game and make life tough. Look for a very exciting game in this one.
