USF MSoccer falls 2 to 1 to Memphis

The Bulls dropped a tough game tonight to Memphis, falling 2 to 1. The loss puts USF at 9-5-1 (4-2-1) on the year and into 4th place in the AAC. The loss puts USF back to 3rd in the AAC standings as the season slowly comes to an end.

Memphis went up 2 to 0 in the first half. USF added a goal in the 35th minute thanks to a strike from Lindo Mfeka (assist from Edwin Moalosi). The Bulls had so many chances in the second, leading the overall shot attempts 15 to 8, but they couldn’t break through late in the game. Spasoje Stefanovic had 3 saves in the game and was solid late, but his offense just couldn’t get a shot through late in the game.

USF will face Clemson on the road on Tuesday night at 7 PM as they try to regroup and get a late season win.
