It’s senior day for the 2014-15 USF Bulls as they take Corbett Field for the final regular season game. In this game the Bulls will be honoring the 4 seniors that will be suiting up for the last time at Corbett in their USF careers (regular season, still have postseason hopes alive). Let’s pay tribute to this 4 seniors and everything they have accomplished since coming to Tampa.
During their careers, these 4 seniors have helped amass an overall record of 37-23-14 from 2011 through this season. They have also helped contribute to a 23-9-8 home record, making Corbett Field a real home field advantage. Now, let’s learn more about each player individually and what they have done during their careers in the green and gold.
#28 Daniela Andrade – 5’5″ – Midfielder – Guatemala City, Guatemala (The Pendleton School)
Andrade played in 2 games in 2011, her first season in Tampa, taking 2 shot attempts. In 2012, she played in 18 games, making 5 starts. She totaled 1 goal and added 2 assists. In 2013, Andrade played in 18 total games, adding an assist and taking 3 shots on goal. She was named to the AAC honor roll 3 times during the course of the season. This season, Andrade has played in 12 games, adding 2 assists and taking 12 shot attempts to finish her USF career. She has been a great midfielder and has given the Bulls tremendous depth and skill in the center of the field for 4 memorable years.
#17 Sarah Miller – 5’5″ – Forward – Bradenton, FL (Lakewood Ranch HS)
Miller appeared in 13 games in 2011, making 1 start. She scored a goal and added 1 assist that year. In 2012, she made 19 starts, adding a goal on 15 shots and contributed 2 assists. In 2013, she played in 19 games, scoring 2 goals and had a career high with 4 assists. So far this season, she has 1 goal (16 games) and has added an assist. Miller has been a consistent offensive threat over the past few seasons, adding a scoring and passing threat to the front line throughout each game.
#8 Demi Stokes – 5’4″ – Forward – South Shields, England (Gateshead College)
Stokes scored 4 goals and added 4 assists in her first season back in 2011, showing her skills as just a freshman. In 2012, in 19 starts, she added 3 goals (26 shots) and an assist. In 2013, she scored 6 goals and added 5 assists while being named 2nd team All AAC and made the AAC weekly honor roll 9 times. This season, she has scored 3 goals (30 shots) and added 4 assists. She will leave her legacy as one of the best strikers in recent memory.
#35 Lauriell Young – 5’9″ – Forward/Defender – Vero Beach, FL (Vero Beach HS)
Young appeared in 3 games in her first two years. In 2013, she played in 9 games, adding 1 assist and had 3 shot attempts. This season, she has appeared in 7 games, taking 2 shot attempts in limited action. Young has been a reliable player coming off of the bench for the Bulls and has added great depth and talent whenever called upon during her career.
