USF MSoccer beats UCF 1 to 0

Posted: October 22, 2014 in Soccer

The Bulls improved to 9-4-1 (4-1-1) on the season with a 1 to 0 win over UCF tonight. Both sides battled in a defensive showing, but USF was able to strike in the first half and lock down on defense in the second half.

The Bulls got the game’s only goal in the 36 minute from Eduardo Maceira (assist from Lucas Baldin) that made it 1 to 0 in the first. USF had chance throughout the game, but either the UCF defense came up big or the crossbar kept the Bulls off the scoreboard. Spasoje Stefanovic had 3 saves during the game and the defense played it well throughout the game, helping the Bulls hang onto the win in a hostile environment.

The Bulls will host Memphis on the 25th as they try to add another win to their resume as the regular season slowly comes to an end.
