After a strong win over Cincinnati on Saturday night, the Bulls 7-4 (3-1), return home to take on Denver (7-4-1, 0-3-1 away from home) in a very interesting late, non-conference game. Denver has knocked off two ranked teams this season and will be a huge test for the Bulls as they try to make it two in a row (game begins at 8 PM).
Denver is led by sophomore forward Eric Kronenberg who leads them with 5 goals (19 shot attempts) and 1 assist on the year. Senior forward Teddy Mullin has 4 goals on the year (24 shot attempts) and has an assist as well on the season. Senior forward Kosta Kordistos has 3 goals (16 shot attempts) and has 3 assists on the year. Senior midfielder Brian Hoyt has 3 goals (13 shot attempts) with a single assist as well. Keeper Spasoje Stefanovic and his back line will have to be on their toes vs. a very balanced Denver front line that can score from any position on the field.
Denver has two keepers they use. Senior Oliver Brown has allowed 5 goals on the year while making 9 saves (probable starter). Sophomore keeper Ryan Massey has allowed 11 goals and has made just 9 saves on the season. The Pioneers have struggled to have a consistent stopper in net which could mean a great chance for the USF offense. I would expect that Lucas Baldin, Tyler Blackwood, and company to come out aggressive and look to get their shots going early and attempt to take the early lead in this one.
