USF WSoccer falls to UCF

Posted: October 11, 2014 in Soccer

The Bulls fell 3 to 0 to UCF, dropping their overall record to 7-6-1 (2-3). After the Bulls had an own goal against them in the first half, USF was not able to rally and fell apart in the first half and failed to get going in the 2nd half.

UCF got their first goal after USF failed to clear out and scored an own goal (on Kate Loye) making it 1 to 0. In the 37th minute, UCF went up 2 to 0 and they tacked on another in the 43rd minute making it 3 to 0. Thordis Aikman allowed the 3 goals (1 was not her fault). Aikman was replaced in the 2nd half by Katarina Elliott in the 2nd half (did not have to make a stop in the 2nd half). USF held the edge on shot attempts at 14 to 8, but nothing went through for the Bulls.

The Bulls will face Uconn next Thursday night at 7 PM as they try to regroup after this loss.
