USF MSoccer takes on Old Dominion University

The Bulls are 2-1 on the year, riding the momentum off of the big win over then 23rd ranked Akron. Old Dominion is 1-2 on the year and will be looking for the upset win as the Bulls hit the road. ODU played North Carolina (another top ranked team) tough in their last loss, showing they can hang with the ranked teams (game begins at 7 PM). This is a game USF has to be careful in.

The only goal so far on the season is from junior midfielder Geoffrey Hill who has 9 shots total on the year. Junior midfielder Ryan Condotta has 1 assist on the year and has taken 5 shots in the first three games. Senior forward Sidney Rivera has taken 6 shots to round out their offensive attack. Keeper Spasoje Stefanovic has played well for the Bulls in the last two games and the USF back line has made it a little easier for him. They will need to play at the same high level and not allow ODU a chance to get their offense going in this game.

In net is redshirt sophomore Alex Tiesenhausen who has allowed just 2 goals on the year while making 19 saves (.905). While the saves are great, to defend 19 shots on goal after just 3 games shows the back line for ODU can be attacked and this is exactly what USF likes to hear. I would expect Edwin Moalosi, Lucas Baldin, and company will dictate the pace of the game and lead on shots taken during the game and keep the heat on ODU throughout the course of the game. This could be another win for the Bulls if they are able to execute on offense and avoid any mistakes on the back line.
