USF takes on Kennesaw State in the 2nd game of the Blue Raider Classic (game begins 2 PM). Kennesaw State enters the game with a 2-2-1 record while the Bulls enter the game with a 2-2-1 record. USF beat host team Middle Tennessee State in the first game 3 to 0 as they got their offense going. Can they do it again? (Game begins at 2 PM).

Kennesaw State is led by sophomore forward Maggie Gaughan who leads the team with 3 goals on 7 shots on goal on the young season. Freshman midfielder/forward Marit Sandtroeen has 1 goal on the year on just 2 shots on goal. Freshman forward Mali Kokvoll has 1 assists on the year while taking 4 shots on goal on the year. Overall, Kennesaw State has a very young team but they are talented. For the Bulls defense, they will need Thordis Aikman to continue to play at a high level despite being young to the fulltime position. Aikman played well vs. MTSU and will need her back line and the front line to continue to push the pressure in this game.

In net for Kennesaw State is sophomore Olivia Sturdivant who has allowed just 2 goals on the year while making 12 saves (.857 save percentage). She has played well, but look out for freshman Mady Carter who could see time in net as well. The USF offense got going in the last game with a break out performance with 3 goals. Olivia Chance and Leticia Skeete were strong and with Demi Stokes still quiet, the USF offense could continue their hot streak in this game. Let’s hope it continues in this game to end the weekend on a high note.
