USF MSoccer beat Akron in double overtime

What a game. The Bulls were able to beat 24th ranked Akron in the final minute of the second overtime, beating the Zips 2 to 1. The Bulls are now 1-1 on the year after this big win in double over time.

The Bulls struck first in the 40th minute on a goal from the senior Lucas Baldin. Akron would tie it in the second half in the 72nd minute on a penalty kick, sending the game to overtime. In the second overtime, the Bulls came up huge late, scoring on the game winning goal from Baldin again in the 109th minute. The Bulls had the edge in shots during the game, 14 to 11, with the biggest shot coming with just seconds remaining in the game. Junior Spasoje Stefanovic made 3 big saves for the Bulls as he continues to settle in to the starting keeper position.

The Bulls will try to make it two straight on Sunday when they face Portland at noon at Corbett.
