Johnny Ward emerged last year, starting 3 games towards the end of the season as a true freshman. Could he win a starting job coming out of the fall camp?

#24 Johnny Ward – 6′ 173 lbs. – Sophomore – Cornerback – Moutlrie, GA (Colquitt County HS)

2013: Ward appeared in all 12 games, starting 3 in total. He finished the year with 31 tackles, 2 TFL, 1 interception, 5 pass break-ups, 1 forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

2014 Bull Rush Prediction: Ward worked himself into a starting role late in the year, opposite side of the Kenneth Durden. He has solid size and speed and played well last year as a freshman. I can easily see Ward becoming a full time starter in his second season especially with the departure of Kenneth Durden and the need for an experienced player to step up in a secondary full of youth. Look for Ward to take one of the starting spots coming out of the fall camp and playing a lot of snaps in 2014.
