The Bulls had a huge day, taking the first two games of the 3-game series against the Memphis Tigers. The two wins push USF to 35-14 (9-5) on the season.

In game one, the Bulls were down 1 to 0 in the bottom of the 5th. Dani Wayt would get on base, followed by a single by Kristen Wyckoff. Ashli Goff would then step up to the plate and hit a single, bringing home both Wyckoff and Wayt, making it 2 to 1 and the rest was history with Sara Nevins on the mound. The senior worked the entire game, pitching 7 innings, allowing just the 1 hit (home run), no walks, and struck out 14 batters in the 2 to 1 win in game one.

The bats woke up in game two, winning 12 to 0 in just 5 innings. Ashli Goff went 3 for 3 in the game, scoring 3 runs. Stephanie Medina went 2 for 2 and drove home 4 runs (seniors did work in this game). Lee Ann Spivey went 1 for 3 with a run scored and drove home 2 runs. Dani Wayt continued her solid day, going 1 for 2 with 2 RBIs. A big moment was Kaityln Santo, pinch hitting, and hitting her first career run, a 3-run blast, in her senior season during senior week. Erica Nunn was solid, allowing just 1 hit, 2 walks and striking out 5 batters in the run-rule game.

The Bulls will try for the series sweep tomorrow morning at 11 AM as they take on the Tigers in the third game.
