From the Tampa Bay Times – News came out tonight (via twitter and the Tampa Bay Times) that junior forward Zach LeDay would be transferring out from USF.

The 6’7″ 245 forward from The Colony, Texas played in all 32 games this season for the Bulls, starting 16 of them and averaging 15 minutes per game. He averaged 3.5 PPG (111 points total) while shooting 41% from the field and 2.6 RPG (82 total). He also added 7 blocks and 9 steals in limited playing time, time that saw AAC all-freshmen Chris Perry and John Egbunu take away from him during the course of the season. LeDay averaged 4.8 PPG (149 total) and 2.5 RPG (66 total) during his freshman season where he started 7 games and appeared in 31. During the 2012-13 season, he averaged 16.9 minutes per game and added 17 blocks and 12 steals as well.

Losing Leday hurts the Bulls headed into the first under new head coach Orlando Antigua. Losing Leday leaves the Bulls very thin at the forward position. Chris Perry returns but two freshmen Bo Zeigler and Dre Clayton, are unknowns at the collegiate level after both redshirting last season. Coach O will probably add a big man with a roster spot available in the late signing period (have to wait and see).

I wish Zach the best wherever he lands and thank him for everything he did while wearing the Green and Gold.
