Matt Floyd got a lot of playing time last season, but struggled and never threw a touchdown.  He is battling for a starting job this fall and faces a lot of competition if he hopes to secure the starting role.

Matt Floyd – Redshirt sophomore – 6’1″ 202 lbs. – Milton, FL (Milton HS) – Quarterback

2012: Floyd appeared in 7 games, starting 2 games of the end of the year.  He completed 57 passes out of 110 attempts (51.8%) for 466 yards and 5 interceptions, no touchdowns.  He carried the ball 18 times for -12 yards.

2013 Bull Rush Projection:  Floyd got a lot of playing time last season with Eveld and Daniels missing time late due to injuries.  He didn’t throw a touchdown and looked out of sync most of the time, but he was being coached by a staff that was already packing their bags.  This fall, Floyd has not proven he is ahead of anyone on the roster and struggled to take snaps while under center during the spring game.  Floyd is still in the running for a starting job this fall along with Bench and Eveld.  I still think it’s Bench’s job, but you never know what will come out of the fall camp.
