Next on the countdown is redshirt freshman Guito Ervilus, who is moving to tight end after being recruited last year for the defensive end position.

Guito Ervilus – Redshirt Freshman – Tight End – 6’4″ 221 lbs. – Orlando, FL (Oak Ridge HS)

2012: Ervilus redshirted his first season in Tampa.

2013 Projection: Ervilus was recruited out of high school by Holtz and staff as a defensive end, a tactic to get Sean Price here without him worrying about too much competition at tight end.  Now under Taggart, he is moving back to tight end, but is fairly low on the depth chart entering the fall.  In a twitter exchange with the great Greg Auman, he mentioned that Sean Price, Michael McFarland, and Jake Carelton are ahead of him at this stage.  However, watching the tight end happy offense that Stanford and WKU run, he could see the field this season at some point.
