Hamilton got onto the field last season as a true freshman and should continue to develop this year, adding another big tackle on the front line.

2012: Hamilton appeared in 11 games last season, recording 12 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and forced one fumble.  He was rated 3-stars coming out of high school and is the cousin of Corian Hamilton, a linebacker for the Bulls.

2013 Projection: Hamilton is a big body on the defensive line that resembles Cory Grissom, which is a good sign for USF.  Hamilton is battling Elkino Watson, Todd Chandler and others for a starting job next to Luke Sager on the line, which is a good thing, showing the depth USF has on the line.  Hamilton could win out for the starting job, but even if he doesn’t, he will see a lot of playing time and will help anchor both the run defense and will get after opposing quarterbacks.
